After successfully tormenting the season’s only unknowing participant Ronald Gladden, the dysfunctional drama of Jury Duty is reportedly set to return for Season 2.
The concept of the first season was simple: stage a fake court trial in which everyone on the jury is an actor except for one poor unexpecting soul who just gets dragged along for the ride (alongside James Marsden, of course).
Since the show’s premiere in 2023, fans have been holding out for more episodes of the fly-of-the-wall-style drama, but with the mystery now unveiled, viewers have questioned whether the creators would be able to execute the same concept with everyone now in the know.
Fortunately, the showrunners appear to have a few tricks up their sleeve, so keep scrolling for everything you need to know about Jury Duty Season 2.

What is Jury Duty Season 2 about?
While we’d all love to see another legal drama unfold, the series creators have been adamant that they would not be able to recreate the same storyline without someone catching on.
“Obviously, it would have to be in a whole different universe. You couldn’t just do jury duty again because then people would be like, ‘Wait a second,’ but I do think that it’s possible,” showrunner Cody Heller told Variety shortly after the Season 1 premiere.
With the mystery now unveiled, the cult-favourite comedy is set to find a new home outside the legal system, with Deadline reporting that the upcoming season will be set amongst the chaos of a company retreat.
“Taking inspiration from classic 1980s movies, such as Animal House and Caddyshack, it is about a small business going on a company retreat with the real, unsuspecting person tested when a Goliath suddenly shows up,” sources told the publication.

When is the Jury Duty Season 2 release date?
While a premiere date has yet to be confirmed, Deadline did reveal some good news regarding the show’s development.
Despite the lack of a concrete release date, the publication reported that filming for Jury Duty Season 2 has already wrapped, meaning the show could be hitting our screens sooner than we think!
Who is the cast of Jury Duty 2?
After turning Ronald Gladden from an average Joe to an overnight sensation, fans have understandably had questions about whether or not he would return for another Jury Duty session.
Although the casting information is still a closely guarded secret, we *do* know that Ronald signed a two-year deal with Amazon MGM Studios shortly after the Season 1 premiere.
“Words cannot express how excited I am to officially be part of the Amazon family. Jury Duty was a remarkable experience for more, and one that introduced me to so many creative and inspiring people. I’m now looking forward to utilising those new relationshiosp to develop projects for Amazon MGM Studios,” he stated at the time, with his contract reportedly covering production, development, and on-screen appearances.
