War is over! Former One Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are reuniting for a Netflix road-trip special.
On October 2, 2025, the network announced a three-part series that will follow the ex-bandmates as they explore North America to reconnect and talk love, grief, and the journey of fatherhood.

What will it be about?
According to the press release, the pair – dubbed ‘Zouis’ by fans – will “embark on a road trip across America in a spontaneous adventure of reconnection, exploration and a lot of laughter.”
Nicola Marsh directs the project, with Campfire Studios producing – the same team behind Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, Smartless: On the Road and America’s Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

The news comes almost a year after the tragic and unexpected passing of their fellow band member Liam Payne, that fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Argentina on October 16, 2024.
What’s the release date?
Netflix is yet to announce a release date, but online speculation is pointing towards a 2026 premiere.

Wasn’t there a Zayn and Louis feud?
The news of the reunion comes as a shock to fans as the duo famously feuded after Zayn’s shock exit from One Direction in 2015, which eventually lead to One Direction’s split in 2016.
After Zayn’s exit, the two heightened tensions by making subtle digs at each other in press interviews.
It eventually hit a boiling point on May 6, 2016, when the pair had a spat on twitter that ended with Zayn tweeting “remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?” directly at Louis.
The two then attended Liam Payne’s funeral on November 20, 2024, along with their other former bandmates Harry Styles and Niall Horan. It was the first public sighting of Zayn and Louis since the feud.
The stars like to remain fairly private about their personal lives, making it all the more special that they’ve now chosen to give audiences a glimpse.
