Last night, Monique Morley landed herself in hot water when her on-screen enemy Abbie Chatfield revealed to this year’s Bachelor Matt Agnew that she called him a “dog c–t” and a “disgusting pig” behind is back.
Despite several contestants siding with Abbie, revealing she did talk badly behind Matt’s back, the lingerie designer is adamant those words never left her mouth.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, we finally know the truth.
The Daily Mail has obtained leaked text messages between an unnamed Bachelor contestant and an unidentified friend. The written conversation between the pair explosively claims the Bachelor producers encouraged the women vying for the astrophysicist’s heart to take Abbie’s side in exchange for an appearance in the upcoming season of Bachelor In Paradise.

“Loads of us would bag [Matt] out after he got with anyone. The Abbie/Mon thing just came from nowhere,” the contestant replied when her friend asked, “what’s the go with this dog thing?”
Last night, the tension between Monique and Abbie came to a head when everyone aside from Monique’s best friend, Rachael, concurred that she did brutally roast Matt behind closed doors.
“Woah… I would never, ever say that,” the blonde bombshell insisted when Matt took her away to question her over the whole incident. “I am genuinely shocked because every time I talk about him to the girls it’s in a positive manner,” she shared to the camera.
“It’s obviously something the other girls have said or made up to get me out of the house. I don’t speak that way at all.”
“The dynamic of this is not a fair situation,” Matt replied. “In an ideal world, I wouldn’t be dating this many people at once.
“I’m trying to understand why someone would say this,” the confused Bachie continued to the camera. “She denies saying these things. Maybe she didn’t say these things, at the moment it’s one word against another.”
Given Matt’s uncertainty— not to mention his fiery walkout from the cocktail party earlier in the evening— the drama had fans certain that Monique would be sent packing at that night’s rose ceremony. But despite all the drama that ensued, Matt STILL GAVE MONIQUE A ROSE…
Last week, Mon took exception to the fact Abbie enjoyed a steamy makeout session with the Bachie at the cocktail party, claiming her actions were “disrespectful to the other girls”.
Since the episode aired, Abbie has revealed she was severely bullied online for pashing Matt, with some viewers even slut-shaming the reality TV star.
“There have been other comments I’ve seen on my Instagram and on Facebook saying ‘Is she really that easy?’ [and] slut-shaming,” the fan favourite property analyst told Mamamia. “I have a right to share a consensual kiss with a man I’m attracted to, to own my own sexuality and be confident and happy in myself.”
The 23-year-old— who describes herself as a vocal feminist— said that despite receiving a “positive reaction from a lot of people”, some took issue with Abbie owning her sexuality and openly admitting she was sexually attracted to Matt.

“People assume women can only be one thing; that because I was open with my sexuality and I was able to express that with Matt that I was only that one thing, that I couldn’t be intelligent and sexual and strong and funny and have any other personality traits,” she said.
After being slammed and gang up on by her Bachelor co-stars— particularly Sogand Mohtat and Monique— Abbie said after the cocktail party incident she felt excluded and isolated, she sought help and guidance from the show’s psychologist.
“I didn’t eat for three days. I just slept and cried. I really wasn’t well,” she told TV Week, adding that she was “an absolute mess”.
