After months of early starts, late finishes and enough renovation chaos to make anyone question their life choices, The Block 2026 has finally wrapped, with all five houses selling at auction. Hooray!

For the contestants, it marked the end of an intense few months spent transforming properties into multimillion-dollar homes. There were room-reveal wins, judging drama, tense team moments and, of course, the all-important auction results. Because after all that hard work, everyone wanted to know just how much their houses would actually sell for.

Adam and Jolene were among the teams celebrating on auction day, but speaking to WHO, the South Australian couple also had a few things to get off their chests about what viewers didn’t get to see throughout the competition.

What were the Block auction results?

Adam and Jolene’s sold for $3.905 million, comfortably beating its $3.45 million reserve and leaving them with a $455,000 profit. Not a bad reward for months of hard yakka!

They weren’t the only team walking away with a result above reserve. Chantel and Wyatt sold their home for $3.817 million, while Lisa and Rosco’s property reached $4 million.

Rick and Tayla also had a strong auction, selling their house for $4.355 million. But it was Courtney and Sev who took out the season, with their property selling for $4.72 million and earning them a $1.27 million profit.

With all five houses selling above reserve, it was a huge finish to the season.

Adam and Jolene say viewers missed one of the biggest parts of The Block

Despite walking away with a $455,000 profit, Adam and Jolene weren’t quite finished having their say about the competition. The couple took a cheeky swipe at The Block producers, claiming one of the biggest parts of the renovation process never made it to air.

When asked what viewers don’t get to see behind the scenes, Jolene had a very simple answer.

“Actually building a house,” she laughed.

Adam was even more blunt about the lack of construction footage, joking: “Yeah the building side, the bastards [producers] didn’t show any of that.”

The couple explained that the work doesn’t stop when filming wraps for the day, with contestants and builders pushing right up until knock-off time.

“Honestly, we work our asses off,” Adam said. “We just go right to the end ’til knock off time. You just, you run, you run, you run.”

And it’s not just the hours he thinks viewers are missing. Adam also pointed to the standards and specifications involved in building the homes, saying the finished rooms don’t always show the work that goes into getting them up to scratch.

“And you probably don’t see how well the houses are really built and the requirements and the specs that back that up,” he said. “Nine and six have very high standards and they expect us and our builders to be at the exact same standard.”

It’s a side of the competition Adam believes deserves more screen time, beyond the finished rooms and the drama that unfolds each week.
