Lead actress Grace Van Patten has teased that this upcoming season is “going to be crazy”, hinting at intense drama, emotional twists and shocking developments.
Following the fallout from the previous season, Season 3 promises to dive even deeper into the tangled web of relationships, secrets and consequences that define the series.
So, what do we know so far, and when can we expect the new season? Scroll on to find out.

Is there a Season 3 for Tell Me Lies?
Wondering if Tell Me Lies is coming back for more drama? The answer is yes, and Season 3 is officially happening!
Hulu shared in late May 2025 that production is underway, with a photo of Grace Van Patten on Instagram holding a clapperboard. “We are so back. Tell Me Lies S3 now in production,” the caption wrote.
When will Season 3 of Tell Me Lies come out?
With Season 3 entering production in late May 2025 and expected to film throughout the next few months, new episodes will likely start streaming late 2025 or early 2026.
Thankfully, fans shouldn’t have to wait as long as they did between Seasons 1 and 2, as Season 1 premiered in October 2022, followed by Season 2 in September 2024.

What will Season 3 of Tell Me Lies be about?
Grace, who plays Lucy, shared with E! News that the new season “feels like the peak of all these young people’s worst decisions.”
At the end of Season 2, we saw the buildup of tension in Stephen and Lucy’s long-running toxic relationship, all while Bree and Evan’s wedding is about to begin.
Just moments before Bree walks down the aisle, Stephen drops a bombshell and texts Bree an eight-year-old audio recording of Evan confessing to cheating on her with Lucy at a college party. Yikes.

We are left with a million questions and WTF!? moments like; How did Stephen end up engaged to Lucy’s ex-bestie, Lydia, in the later timeline? What’s next for Bree and Oliver’s (and now Marianne’s) college affair? Can Pippa find justice for her assault? And how will the shocking death of Wrigley’s brother, Drew, play out?
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jackson White, who plays Stephen, shared his hopes for his character’s future.
“I wonder if it would be cool to see Stephen completely stuck with nowhere to run to, nowhere to go. I don’t even know what that means, like no method of manipulating his way out of something. And then also, Meaghan said that there was an idea of a threesome with Wrigley and if that came up, I wouldn’t push against it. But we’ll see, fingers crossed.”

Who is in the cast of Tell Me Lies Season 3
Of course, our favourite toxic duo, Grace Van Patten (Lucy) and Jackson White (Stephen), are back to continue their tumultuous journey. As well as their undeniable chemistry, which probably comes from their own IRL love story (yes!! they’re dating).
It’s also likely that the other main characters will return: Catherine Missal (Bree), Spencer House (Wrigley), Sonia Mena (Pippa), Branden Cook (Evan), Alicia Crowder (Diana), Tom Ellis (Oliver) and Natalee Linez (Lydia).
There will also be new faces in the season, including Costa D’Angelo as Alex, a psychology grad student and Iris Apatow as Amanda, a bubbly freshman with a big secret.
