The queen of rom-coms Jennifer Lopez is back with her latest lovey-dovey film, Office Romance. And although the film itself is still weeks away from its June 5 release, it’s the newly dropped trailer that has everyone talking.
The glossy, flirtatious comedy pairs Lopez with Brett Goldstein, and on paper, it ticks every box. She plays Jackie Cruz, a high-powered, perfectionist CEO while Goldstein steps in as Daniel Blanchflower, the company’s charmingly ambitious new lawyer.
What starts as simmering tension quickly escalates into a full-blown workplace romance that the pair tries (and fails) to keep under wraps, all of which we know from the super-revealing trailer.
What are fans saying about the Office Romance trailer?
From stolen boardroom glances to sun-drenched island getaways, the trailer leans hard into the forbidden fruit fantasy of falling for a co-worker. However, according to fans, it may have leaned a little too far. Within hours of its release, social media was flooded with comments from viewers who are fuming the preview gave away the entire plot.

“Glad they just showed us the whole movie,” one person wrote online. Another joked, “Great so I guess I just watched the entire film nvm,” while a third added, “Sooooo you just showed us the whole movie.” As is part and parcel with the online world, one sarcastic viewer left a comment reading, “So glad they didn’t show the whole movie in the preview.”
These types of complaints from viewers are becoming more and more common in the age of tell-all trailers, where the line between teasing and spoiling is almost non-existent. And yet, like every other time the buzz surrounding the film is undeniable and fans are dying to see J-Lo back on the big screen. If anything, the overstuffed trailer has amplified conversation around the film!
Spoilers or not, Office Romance is proving that when it comes to rom-coms, audiences still can’t resist a little workplace drama, a lot of chemistry, and of course the leading lady who defined the genre.
