Who would be the new I’m A Celeb Host?

It’s undeniably a *huge* job and there are some very big boots to fill. Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris have provided insane chemistry, hilarious commentary and some very memorable fashion moments over the 8 years they have co-hosted together.

So who will be next to host the next season alongside Julia?

The latest name on everyone’s lips is Australia’s very own Robert Irwin, with TV Blackbox naming the 19-year-old wildlife warrior as Julia’s new co-host.

Although Rob hasn’t done too much in the way of TV hosting apart from a short stint filling on for Sam Mac as the Sunrise weatherman, he has done quite a lot of work in front of the camera.

He earned himself a number of global fans thanks to his numerous appearances on The Jimmy Fallon Show in recent years.

At this stage Rob, nor Channel 10 have confirmed nor denied the latest speculation.

When asked for a comment the network told TV Blackbox: “Any announcements regarding our program schedule for 2024 will be made at our intimate Upfronts presentations.”

Julia herself has been open about the difficult search for the next co-host.

“I’m excited for the new adventure of what is in store, I don’t know who that’s going to be yet,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this year.

“We start chemistry testing pretty soon with a number of different people – not even a number of different people. I think there’s kind of a party of six. And from there we’ll just work out where that best chemistry is and start a new adventure.”

In an interview with Daily Telegraph, Julia let slip what she’s looking for.

“Number one: someone who isn’t a douche bag,” she said.

“Two: someone who’s really funny and an equal contributor of jokes, but not pushy.”

“There’s a wonderful ebb and flow between us that’s taken years to build. At times, I’ve been a maniac on menopause and Chris has had to take a breath as we move through it.”

“You can’t simply move on to the next person.”

Although the network has remained quiet on suitable candidates it hasn’t stopped fans from guessing in recent months.

Fans had their eye on Celeste Barber after she and Julia were photographed together at the TV Week Logies nomination breakfast in Sydney.

However, rumours quickly emerged that comedian Sam Pang could be getting the job.

The Have You Been Paying Attention? panellist and recent host of the 2023 TV WEEK Logie Awards could already be confirmed according to a “network spy.”

“Our viewers love a good laugh and Sam’s knack for making even the most serious situations hilarious is just what we need to bring a new dynamic to the show,’ the source told The Daily Mail.

Other names that have been suggested include Jimmy Rees, Joel Creasy, Osher Gunsberg and Darren McMullen.

Scott Tweedie, Rob Mills and Dave Thornton have also been rumoured to be in consideration.
