She panned the camera to show off her athletic frame as she told her 216k followers how she’d transformed her physical and mental health.
“The last few months I have been feeling confident and beautiful in myself. It took a long time after my breakup to feel good,” she said.
“I feel like when people talk about body image they're thinking about what you're eating and your gym routine. But it's all about shining from the inside out.”
The Perth-based beauty went on to admit she’d recently been looking “sickly” as a result of her heartbreak.
“I look a lot healthier now, a lot happier,” she continued.
“If you're happy and you're laughing and having a good time, you will look a lot better.”
Speculation was rife that her four-month-long relationship with James was on the rocks after eagle-eyed fans noticed the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
"We were having some problems and they got worse when I left the Gold Coast to go visit my family in Perth," the part-time model told Daily Mail Australia at the time.
"Unfortunately, we were unable to sort through them and he's decided to move on.”
Continuing to share via Instagram Stories yesterday, Jess confessed she was no longer holding a flame for her former love interest. She even gave advice to others in the same boat.
“I thought it [the break-up] was the end of the world and I thought I loved him and blah, blah, blah. You've got to realise this is another story in your book. It gets better,” she said.
“It's taken a long time for me to feel like me again. I'm just happy exploring every opportunity in life now.”
Jessika married Gympie-based farmer Mick Gould on last year's season of MAFS.
During filming, she had an affair with her co-star Dan Webb who was paired with Tamara Joy. The couple controversially re-entered the experiment as a new couple before breaking up on live TV.
