Bachie alumni Brittney Weldon is the first to admit that she doesn’t take life (or herself) too seriously – and that’s why Aussie reality TV fans have fallen in love with her.
We first met the hilarious 27-year-old during her brief but memorable stint on Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins’ season of The Bachelor in 2017, later getting better acquainted with the star during both the 2019 and 2020 seasons of Bachelor in Paradise.
Despite her three attempts at finding love on TV not going quite to plan – Brittney left Paradise this year with Jackson Garlick, but the pair decided they were better off as just friends – Britt is still loving life.
She’s returned to her much-loved government job and has taken up a side-hustle as an influencer, after amassing almost 100,000 Instagram followers. Her latest gig is with Pepsi Max – she’s created a comical mango-peeling hack as part of the launch of the drink’s new mango flavour – and of course, it’s very on brand for the woman who fans have dubbed “Litt-ney”.
WHO spoke to Brittney after her long day at the office – yes, even reality TV stars have to go to work like the rest of us – and she spilled on her current relationship status, her cheeky habit of ghosting guys, what she really thinks of her notorious Bachelor in Paradise co-star Jamie Doran and responds to rumours she’s recently gone under the knife.

WHO: What have you been up to lately work wise?
Brittney: I’ve been working with the government for four years and I absolutely love it, it’s really rewarding work.
And you’re based in Queensland right? So you guys aren’t impacted too much by the pandemic right now.
Yeah I live on the Gold Coast and we’ve kind of been OK.
What’s life been like since Bachelor in Paradise? You guys had such a long wait between when the show was filmed and when it actually aired.
I know! Last year it was shown in April, which was still a long wait, but this year there was such a long time between filming.
Still, I’ve actually dated no one. I’ve actually been on a couple of dates but they fizzled out.
Why didn’t they work out?
I don’t know … I’m pretty good at ghosting … the old “new phone who dis?”
Do you find guys pre-set idea of what you’re going to be like before they meet you?
They have this idea that I’m going to be quiet, but I’m actually more loud in real life! They’re like ‘I thought it was just an act’ and I’m like ‘No, this is what I’m really like’.
Do you still hang out with anyone from the Bachelor in Paradise cast? You guys seem like really good mates in real life.
Yeah I see pretty much everyone, except for a couple and with COVID we can’t really see each other. I still call Rachel from the first once, she’s a really good friend of mine. I hang out with Jamie [Doran], Naranga [Amarasinghe] and Scot [Fuller] and Renee [Barrett] and I just went to Darwin together.
You mentioned Jamie … is he as crazy in real life as he comes across on the show?
No, I think Jamie is so fun! We’re really good friends.
Do you think he gets a bit of an unfair rap?
I think he does, to be honest. He’s actually super lovely.
Have you been watching the current season of The Bachelor? What do you think so far?
I don’t have a normal TV at home so I haven’t watched it, but I’ve seen a little bit here and there on social media. I’m so glad I’m not on there! There are so many mean girls! I honestly don’t know how they do it.
You recently went blonde and people are absolutely loving your new hair. What inspired the change?
I’ve been brunette for ages and I actually had red hair last year and then I thought ‘Why not go blonde? I’ve heard they have more fun!’
I think I’ve had about seven goes of a full head of a foils, so it’s quite fried now, but it’s worth it. It looks good in photos!
You always look amazing in your bikini Instagram snaps … what’s your health and fitness routine like these days?
I actually don’t go to the gym or anything. I’ve slowly stopped that. Before summer hits I’m going to probably ramp it up.
I’ve got the winter weight on at the moment and now it’s spring, I’ve got no excuse. I basically just walk.
There was some chatter in the comments section on your Instagram recently from fans speculating you’ve gone under the knife. Have you had any procedures done on your nose?
No, definitely not my nose! It’s completely natural.
But I did get my boobs done again. I’ve had a breast implant illness, but I’m all healthy now. I just got them a little bit bigger. Definitely not my nose, but I have had my lips done now.
