When it comes to the Met Gala, the red carpet is all about one major thing: the looks. Bold colours, dramatic feather trains and thigh-high slits are all the rage as your favourite stars attend one of fashion’s biggest events.

For an evening that’s all about honouring the creativity of designers, it’s fair to say we spend most of our time judging the gowns. With all the confidence of The Devil Wears Prada’s Miranda Priestly – and none of her knowledge – we pick out our favourites and stare wide-eyed at some of the more extreme outfits.

One such star who captured our attention was the stunning Kendall Jenner, who dazzled onlookers in a sheer Givenchy gown as she took to the glamorous steps of The Met.

And while her Audrey Hepburn-inspired ensemble deserves most of the attention, we have to admit we’ve also been busy fawning over her glowy makeup look. With out-of-this world highlighter on her décolletage and a creamy pink hue on her cheeks, her makeup was simply stunning.

Fortunately, we didn’t have to lust after her look for long, with makeup artist Mary Phillips revealing the secrets, and products, used to achieve the ‘natural’ look.

Phillips – who also painted the famous faces of Addison Rae and Hailey Bieber for the event – shared her product breakdown from the night.

Considering how the Kardashian-Jenner sisters love to support one another, it should come as no surprise that Kendall’s look was pulled together using entirely Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin products from her sister Kylie Jenner’s range.

For her skin prep, Phillips used the Kylie Skin Face Moisturiser, Eye Cream and Sugar Lip Scrub.

She didn’t reveal which foundation – if any – was used on Kendall’s skin, but did say they used the Kylie Cosmetics Pressed Powder Blush in Pink Dreams and Pink Power, the Pressed Bronzing Powder in Khaki and the Highlighting Powder in Dreamin In Diamonds to reach luminous levels of glow.

Taking the glow all the way down her chest, Phillips used the Coconut Body Lotion and Body Glow in All Gold Everything to add shimmer to the décolletage.

Kendall’s covetable lip colour was achieved with a combination of the Forever and Always Lip Liner, Liquid Lipstick in Angel and High Gloss in Like.

Meanwhile, her delicate smokey-eye was made up from the Liquid Eyeliner Pen, Matte Black Gel Eyeliner Pencil and the 24k Collection Pressed Powder Palette with the shades Make A Wish, Pull Up and Moments In Time.

Meanwhile, her bestie and fellow model, Hailey, was made-up using only Pat McGrath products.

Playing with natural pink hues, Phillips used the Divine Blush in the shades Divine Rose, Nude Venus and Cherish – proving multiple shades of blush to be the key to the perfect dewy and fresh-faced look.

She added the Skin Fetish Highlighter + Balm Duo in Golden and the Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio in the shade Fine Gold 003.

Her sultry eye makeup was achieved with the Mothership V Bronze Seduction palette in the shades Entrapment, Disobedient, Bronze Blaze and Gilty Pleasure. She also used the PermaGel Ultra Glide Pencil in shade Blk Coffee, Perma Precision Liquid Liner and Dark Star Volumizing Mascara.

For a sultry pink pout, Phillips used the PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil to contour and the Matte Trance Lipstick in Omi and Flesh 3.
