The KarJenners are a lot of things, but subtle usually isn’t one of them. So imagine one beauty pro’s shock when she received new shimmers and lip glosses from Kim Kardashian West‘s makeup brand — without seeing them all over the reality star’s Snapchat first.
Huda Kattan was first to show off the never-before-seen products from KKW Beauty on Snapchat and Instagram.
“Imagine how shook we were when we received a package from KKW Beauty containing never seen before goodies! Not only did we find one gorgeous product inside, but two completely brand new, unteased products – like WTF, where did these come from!!” the makeup artist wrote on her blog.
Each product comes in sparkly copper, bronze, rose gold, gold and silver tones, meaning you can match lip glosses and highlighting powders.
Turns out Kardashian West has hinted that she’s expanding her beauty line — she’s been acting as her own model for months for another lip product in development without any of us knowing.
When PeopleStyle caught up with the 37-year-old star for the launch of KKW Fragrance, she revealed she’s “coming out with [her] own lipsticks,” which she’s been test driving at various red carpet events (but hasn’t been allowed to admit it!).
“You have no idea — I started wearing it at New York Fashion Week [in September],” the TV star told PeopleStyle. “I posted this photo at the Alexander Wang show on my Instagram and I never had more people ask what lipstick it is in that photo. It was the most satisfying feeling when friends, makeup artists, everyone was like, ‘What is this lip liner?’”
The Alexander Wang fashion show wasn’t the only time Kardashian teased her newest product. Earlier this month, the Internet started speculating the star would be launching lip products when her makeup artist didn’t reveal the lipstick she used at the LACMA Art + Film Gala.
Kardashian West first teased an upcoming lip product at the beginning of September (right before the Wang show) when she posted an Instagram photo of a glossy nude lip print that had no caption, but tagged KKW Beauty’s account.
KKW Crystal Gardenia by KKW Fragrances just launched, which TMZ reports made US$10 million in just 24 hours. Look out, Kylie Jenner.
