The pregnant duchess, whose schedule has been pared back to allow her to rest over the coming days, met members of the public at Kingfisher Bay Jetty.

Meghan wore a grey and white dress with vertical stripes for the walkabout and wore her hair tied back.

She also sported sunglasses on her head and at one point the mum-to-be could be seen lovingly cradling her baby bump.

“More stripes!,” fashion expert Donny Galella told New Idea.

“This outfit is very similar to the Martin Grant one she wore back on Bondi Beach.

This time she’s just reversed the colours and it perfectly suits the beach environment.

As Harry and Meghan strolled hand-in-hand along the jetty they were given presents by members of the public who had assembled there.

One of them held a sign that said “Rangas Rule”, Australian slang for someone with ginger hair.

Earlier in the day Harry, without his pregnant wife, was greeted by the Butchulla People and took part in a traditional Welcome to Country smoking ceremony on Fraser Island.

He spoke under the island’s satinay trees in Pile Valley, some up to 1,000 years old and used to build the London docks in the 1930s.
