Transformation Tuesdays! Sophia’s inspiring journey on the keto diet

Sophia Tsipidis, 28, has a fast-paced job that saw her rely on sugary foods to keep her energy levels up.

“My brothers are very fit and have exceptionally clean diets so I know the foods that I should be eating, but I’d adopt their habits for a while then start stress eating when life got tough.” She signed up to do the eight-week Keto-Fit Challenge to help her shred before the Christmas party season.

Keto is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet that tricks the body into a fat-burning process called ketosis.

Over the eight weeks, Sophia followed a structured meal plan, increased her exercise and introduced Keto-Fit products into her diet. “Having the full suite of Keto-Fit products to support me on my keto journey was appealing” says Sophia “I knew that these would help me sustain my energy levels while remaining in ketosis.”

The weekend before she began, Sophia cleared her cupboards of all temptation and shopped for her meal plan. With a weakness for chocolate and cheesecake, Sophia thought she might struggle on keto but says she was surprised by the food.

“I loved how I could eat all the cheeses I enjoy, as well as eggs, salmon, avocados and chicken. These low GI foods also kept me fuller for longer than my usual meals.”

Sophia noticed results within the first week. “I don’t think I’ve ever had such a flat stomach! I also noticed my sweet cravings after meals completely disappeared.”

Her new structure of eating meant she had more energy too, as previously she would skip breakfast in favour of an extra hour of sleep. “Eating a high-fat and high-protein diet also makes you feel much “lighter” after meals” says Sophia.
