QANTAS has unveiled its stylish reimagined Brisbane International Lounge in time for the Easter break.
Inspired by the tropical Far North and filled with natural light, the new ground level floor transforms the space into a three-level lounge now catering for up to 400 travellers.
Taking a relaxed Queensland approach to design, interior features include white wood panelling on the walls, subtle lighting, a curved ceiling, timber finishes and a bespoke art and light installation, titled The Pulse of Our Ancient Land, by artist Jenna Lee.
The new floor has its own kitchen featuring a hot and cold buffet with a focus on local produce as well as a Quench hydration station, full bar and barista coffee.
With Qantas operating almost 60 direct international flights from Brisbane every week, Group Chief Customer Officer Vanessa Hudson said Queensland was one of the airline’s most important markets.
