There’s no denying Margot Robbie is literally Barbie. Playing the titular role of the iconic Greta Gerwig film, the Aussie actress is undoubtedly made for the part and once audiences got their first look at her in the movie even the most hesitant Barbie fans had to admit she looked every bit the role.
Whilst the teaser trailers, movie clips and posters showcased Margot in her full-Barbie get-up, it has been her style on the global press tour that has everyone talking. The girl’s got style – and it’s very, very, pink.

April 25: Warner Bros. Pictures Presentation
Margot’s first foray into the pink-press-circuit for Barbie began in April, when she, Ryan Gosling, Greta Gerwig and America Ferrera attended the Warner Bros. Pictures Presentation during CinemaCon.
The actress wore a pink plaid Prada two-piece set that consisted of a wrap miniskirt and a bralette. Adding a pair of baby pink heels from Christian Louboutin and a gold Chanel anklet, Margot looked every bit Barbie!

June 25: Press Junket and Photo Call for Barbie
Margot attended a Barbie photo call in Los Angeles alongside the Barbie cast and was a vision in polka dots. The star once again channelled her inner Barbie at the event, wearing a pink polka dot mini dress by Valentino and a pair of white Manolo Blahnik heels.

June 29: Barbies at Bondi
Margot brought some vintage Barbie glam to Bondi Beach, wearing a black and white striped strapless dress that was reminiscent of the original Barbie’s one-piece bathing suit. Margot paired the dress by Hervé Léger, with a curly ponytail and cat-eyed white sunnies.

June 30: Barbie Stars in Sydney
Margot’s second Barbie look for Sydney once again saw her pull from Versace. The sweater, metallic skirt and heels/socks combo was from a 1994 Versace campaign and yet again the Aussie actress was the epitome of pretty in pink!

June 30: Barbie Celebration Party
Stepping onto Aussie shores, Margot opted for a vintage Versace look for the Barbie Celebration Party held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
The pink Atelier Versace Fall 1994 dress was first worn by Versace muse Brandi Quinones before Claudia Schiffer wore the design during the Gianni Versace Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week after-party in October 1994.

July 2: Seoul Premiere of Barbie
Margot Robbie rocked not one but two Barbie-inspired looks at the Seoul premiere. She first appeared in a Versace pink midi dress which was inspired by the 1984 Day to Night Barbie, according to stylist Andrew Mukamal, who shared a side-by-side of Robbie and the toy on his Instagram.

July 2: Seoul Press Conference
For her second event in Seoul, Margot opted for another matching two-piece in pink! Matching the outfit perfectly with her bow and bag – the star is proof that more pink is *always* better.

July 6: Barbie Pink Carpet, Mexico
Margot’s first look during her press tour in Mexico saw her reference the 1992 ‘Earring Magic Barbie’ and we are obsessed! Sporting a pink dress and pink pumps and accessorising with a chunky silver belt and silver statement earrings, this recreation is perfect.

July 7: Barbie Photocall, Mexico
Margot’s second look during her time in Mexico was inspired by the 1992 Totally Hair Barbie. Sporting a long-sleeved Emilio Pucci minidress. Margot’s look was pulled together with Chanel accessories and hot pink pumps by Manolo Blahnik.

July 9: Barbie World Premiere
Following a number of very pink looks, Margot swapped to a dramatic and glamorous black look for the world premiere of Barbie in Los Angeles.
Paying homage to the timeless style of the original 1960 Barbie Solo in the Spotlight Doll, Marot’s outfit featured a strapless trumpet gown, opera gloves and a diamond choker.

July 12: Barbie European Premiere
Margot dressed like the Enchanted Evening Barbie circa 1960 for the London Premiere of the film. The Aussie star wore a pale pink custom Vivienne Westwood Corset gown with a white trimmed neckline and accessorized with a statement pearl choker.

July 12: Barbie Photocall, London
Following her 60’s look, Margot swapped her gown for a red mini dress at the Barbie photocall later that night. The Barbie actress kept things simple and paired back with minimal accessories and matching heels.

July 13, Barbie Photocall, London
This Barbie is ready for business! Margot attended the Barbie photocall with this pink matching set with red trimmings, pink bows and a matching purse.

November 17, Barbie Q&A
Wearing a more casual look, Margot still looked every bit Barbie in this jeans and pink blazer combo.

November 28, Night in New York
The girl is sure dedicated to pink! Margot wore the iconic colour once again as she stepped out with husband Tom Ackerly. Wearing a lighter shade, Margot added a sparkle purse to complete the ensemble.

January 4, Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards
New Year…New Barbie-inspired outfits! Margot once again wore pink as she attended the event alongside Barbie director Greta Gerwig and co-star America Ferrera.

7 December, Golden Globes
It was a big night for the Babrie Cast and Margot looked every bit the part as she channeled 1977 Super Stare Barbie.
