Speaking to WHO recently about his latest season of game show The Hundred, Andy Lee also revealed some more details about his upcoming wedding to longtime girlfriend, Rebecca Harding.
“We haven’t discussed who’s making a speech yet. I think as long as they’re short. Bec and I, we don’t want to spend too much time at the ceremony on those types of things,” he told WHO.
“I was excited to have random speeches, like a spotlight that does a spin around, and whoever it landed on had to do the speech. But Bec doesn’t like that idea. That was my plan, so that’s been taken off the list.”
He also jokingly added that “we’re going to have an 86-piece orchestra that plays if their speech is going too long, just to encourage them to head off.”
It’s an exciting time for the couple, who got engaged back in May 2024 after close to ten years of dating.
“Look, it’s just great that Bec is about to make an honest man of me. It doesn’t feel any different, to be honest. We’re pretty excited about it,” he told WHO. “Being engaged is a great phase. There’s heaps of anticipation. It’s like Carlton before they start an AFL season – we’re really excited in the lead up. [Although] hopefully the wedding is not like Carlton’s season.”

While his co-host Hamish playfully referred to the upcoming event as “the royal wedding”, Andy revealed that it will be an intimate affair with a guest-list of about 80 people.
While the guest-list is yet to be released, Hamish and Andy podcast contributor and producer Jack Post and the groom himself had a tongue-and-cheek exchange about how while Jack is on the guest list, he’ll enter a “slump” at work if he doesn’t make it on the top 50 invitees list.

Of course, Andy’s co-host and long-time friend Hamish Blake has been “locked in” as one of Andy Lee’s groomsman.
Andy revealed on the podcast that the other two groomsmen will be his brother Cam and Michael “Horgs” Horgan, a long-time contributor to the show, before joking about needing “to wear platform shoes” since they’re “all very tall.”
When did Andy Lee get engaged?
Andy Lee and Bec announced their engagement in May 2024 on the Hamish and Andy podcast. It was revealed that Andy proposed to Bec Harding in April 2024 at the renovation site of their “new old house”, as he playfully put on social media.
Standing in front of the couple’s old marble fireplace, Andy shared that he pretended to find something inside the fireplace and produced a napkin – a nod to their initial meet-cute.

Bec is the co-founder of the Australian razor and body care brand LUI Body. She launched the brand with business partner and beauty expert Ingrid Kesa in 2023.
Over the years, she has worked as an influencer and model, harnessing her Masters degree in media and communications as an ambassador for well-known beauty brands like L’Oreal, Lancome, Mecca Cosmetica and Kerastase.
