On the evening of December 14, Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed Akram, 24, opened fire on the Hanukkah by the Sea celebration happening in Archer Park, Bondi.

At the time of publishing, the death toll from the massacre had reached 16, including Sajid, who was shot dead by police. Over 40 people were seriously injured and are in hospital.

It’s the worst terrorist attack to take place in Australia in over 29 years and a senseless act of violent antisemitism.
