In more sad gun violence news out of America, at least three people have critcally injured from a shooting at Chicago Mercy Hospital.
CNN report that three individuals are in a critical condition, including a police officer, following a gun shooting.
The crime took place on Monday afternoon at Chicago’s Mercy Hospital, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman said.
Law enforcement have advised that the suspect, a 32-year-old male, has been shot and is also in critical condition.
The hospital confirmed on Monday afternoon that police have secured the situation and the patients are safe.
Witness Steven White told CNN that he was in the emergency room when he saw the shooter firing at police.
“We heard some shots so we all ran to the emergency window, we see this guy out there, military style, shooting at the police — pow, pow, pow,” he said.
