Carly – who was a bride on season five – told The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential that John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Trisha Stratford have questionable matchmaking skills and issued a warning to anyone who may be considering taking part in the Nine ‘social experiment’.

“I would say don’t go on a reality show to find love, you’re probably not going to find it. It’s virtually impossible” she said.

“The couples know nothing about each other, they’re [matched] by experts who don’t know them either so it’s pretty bloody unlikely.”

Carly, now 34, was initially matched with ice cream entrepreneur Justin Fischer on the show, although she later went on to fall for fellow co-star Troy Delmege. The couple called it quits nine months later.

The blonde reality star went on to slam the relationship expert’s scientific process to match people up as very questionable.

“If you think about it, if someone set you up on a blind date what’s the likelihood that you’re going to like that person? It’s pretty low,” she said. “Or if you’re swiping through profiles on a dating app, you’re at least seeing the person or learning about them but even with that – what’s the likelihood that’s going to be the love of your life on a Tinder date? Probably pretty low.”

“It was so much more full on than I ever expected, I was naive going into it,” Carly continued.

“It was draining on multiple levels. Having said that, I don’t regret it now, it showed me a lot of opportunities, I’ve met heaps of good people.

The Melbourne-based marketing manager has since gone on to find love with actor Neil Goldsmith.
