Tragedy has struck the NSW town of Orange, with a man found dead at a busy local ALDI outlet.
Central West Police District crime manager Detective Inspector Bruce Grassick confirms a 52-year-old man’s body was found in the popular supermarket’s loading dock. While paramedics were called to the scene, nothing could be done, with the man designated as unresponsive.
A report will be prepared for the coroner, amid published reports the man was believed to be homeless.

A local shopper tells New Idea Food: ‘It’s so sad, I really feel for the poor fellow.
‘A lot of families go to that ALDI, so I guess it was a relief that it happened during the night and there weren’t any small children or school kids there to see the poor man’s body.
‘You never think this sort of things going to happen near you, especially at the supermarket you go to every day.’
Detective Inspector Grassick says no criminal offences had been detected.
