Lisa Wilkinson suffered an embarrassment TV moment during last weekend’s The Sunday Project.
WATCH Lisa’s mortifying on-air moment below:
The veteran TV host was interviewing mum, Erin, who discovered she was pregnant 24 hours before giving birth, when Erin’s four-year-old son, Andrew uttered some cheeky words.
Whilst pushing Andrew on a swing, Lisa asked Erin if she was excited for the birth of her second child, to which Andrew piped up: “Even I’m excited!”
Lisa laughed and said she wanted to hear what Andrew’s dad thought of the baby news…but Andrew had other ideas.
The cheeky child interrupted: “I farted on you,” resulting in an awkward laugh from Lisa and embarrassed looks from Andrew’s parents.
Cutting back to the studio, The Project co-host Tommy Little only made things worse by asking if that was the first time Lisa had been farted on.
“It’s not the first time I’ve been farted on by a boy, that’s for sure,” the former Today host laughed.
She added: “I have two sons of my own.”
Lisa is married to journalist Peter FitzSimons and has three children, daughter Billi and sons Jake and Louis.
Lisa’s on-air gaffe follows news earlier this year that the TV star is asking for an eye-watering $2 million to re-sign with the network.
“Before Lisa went on holidays to Italy, she gave them an ultimatum about The Project and her network contract,” industry insider Rob McKnight, who runs website TV Blackbox, told New Idea. “She wants $2million to sign on again for two more years.”
