He’s the Irish-born real estate agent who has been compared to Tarzan, Aquaman, Thor and Jon Snow, but Love Island hunk Eoghan Murphy wasn’t always quite to chiselled…if his Instagram profile is anything to go by!

Making his grand entrance into the villa during yesterday’s season premiere, Eoghan certainly got pulses raising amongst viewers at home.
However, one quick glance at the 24-year-old’s social media posts tells us that the reality star has undergone a complete transformation in recent years.

Pictures from 2016 show Eoghan clean-shaven, with shorter hair, paler skin and a notably slimmer build. It’s like he’s a different person!
However, there’s a reason for the real estate agents dramatically altered appearance.
The former Gold Coast Knights player told news.com.au that he started going to the gym a lot in the past year after a hamstring injury forced him to choose between the gym and soccer.
“I was in the team below A-league, but had to stop playing because I did my hamstring four times, so I missed out on the grand final which was a bit of a bummer,” he said from the Love Island retreat in Fiji.
“My body changed quite a bit after I started going to the gym, so it wasn’t really ideal for soccer. In the end I had to choose whether to prioritise going to the gym or getting my body in shape for soccer. In the end I went with the gym, because well, I want to look good … and here I am.
“If I hadn’t have done that I probably wouldn’t be here,” he added.
Before entering the Love Island villa, the Irish hottie admitted he was there to find love after recently coming out of a long-term relationship.
“I was in a relationship pretty much my entire life. When it happens you always think the grass is greener,” he said.
“I enjoy being in a relationship. I want a companion. All my mates have girlfriends and I’m the one on my own. I want a girl, I want someone I can spend the rest of my life with,” Eoghan – who currently lives on the Gold Coast – continued.
