On Episode 7 of Married At First Sight, Matthew Bennett finds himself being overwhelmed when he is forced to get into a hot tub with his new wife Lauren Huntriss, mainly because he fears intimacy.
After a quick phone call to the emergency room, he is advised to rush to the hospital and none other but his supportive wife Lauren was by his side while he dealt with an anxiety attack.
After he felt better, Bennett and his wife made their way over to dinner. But their innocent conversation took a very emotional turn as the groom discussed a traumatic event he experienced as a teen, losing his neighbour to a shocking death.
“He was my mentor, I was feeling good, one day he finished working on a boat and he said I’ll be back later. And he never came back. He actually died testing that boat,” Matt said.
“Probably not the best topic of conversation,” he quipped.
This broke Lauren. Before we know it, she’s in tears. “I’m sorry that that happened to you,” she replied.
The blonde beauty then confirmed: “I knew there was a reason why Matt wasn’t feeling confident it made a lot of sense now.”
And after their deep and meaningful relationship, it seems they sealed the deal!
“last night I lost my virginity and it was a beautiful moment. I think it was worth the 29-year wait.”
Congrats mate!
