Whilst some fans may be initially surprised by the news that 19-year-old Rob is taking the reigns, it doesn't come as a huge surprise.
In September TV Blackbox named Rob as the new host despite he nor Channel 10 commenting on the news.

Rob's new gig as co-host of the reality show will be his first array into the arena of reality TV, with the son of Steve Irwin previously filling in for Sam Mac as the Sunrise weatherman.
Rob has also made frequent appearances on The Jimmy Fallon Show in recent years, earning him global acclaim.
The 19 year old has a number of TV appearances under his belt, but this will be his first official "hosting" gig.
Names like Sam Pang, Jimmy Rees, Joel Creasy and Osher Gunsberg were all thrown around, but if you ask us Rob makes perfect sense. Not only does he have first-hand knowledge of the jungle and all its scary animals but he also kinda looks like Chris...just a bit younger!
Rob will replace Dr Chris Brown, who announced his departure from Ten in 2023.

In an interview withDaily Telegraph earlier this year, Julia let slip what she was looking for in a co-host.
"Number one: someone who isn’t a douche bag,” she said. “Two: someone who’s really funny and an equal contributor of jokes, but not pushy."
“There’s a wonderful ebb and flow between us that’s taken years to build. At times, I’ve been a maniac on menopause and Chris has had to take a breath as we move through it."
