Any beauty guru will tell you that there’s one brand that is continuously popping up on our Instagram and TikTok pages: MERIT Beauty.
Branded as the antidote to the overwhelming world of beauty, MERIT products are modern, multi-use and made for minimalists.
I’ve been fortunate enough to trial some of the products that are available, and as a truly dedicated beauty-addict-slash-devotee, I can confirm: they’re FAB!
Here’s the MERIT review and roundup before you click ‘add to cart’. Because trust me, you’ll want to add these to your cart.

MERIT base products

The Uniform
$61 at MERIT
The Uniform is a tinted mineral sunscreen with SPF 45 that offers a soft wash of colour that feels weightless on the skin.
It’s a true skin tint, and very subtle, so if you’re looking for coverage, this probably isn’t the right product for you. However, if you like just enough lightweight coverage that will even out the skin tone, chances are you’ll love this.
The one caveat I will mention is that while it does offer UVA and UVB protection, I would still suggest wearing a layer of sunscreen underneath. Often, you need a large amount of product to actually achieve the desired level of sun protection, so it’s always better to err on the side of caution.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

The Minimalist
$61 at MERIT
I couldn’t love this product more if I tried. A hybrid blend between foundation and concealer, it’s the product I’ve used every day since I tried it. Yes, that’s right — Every. Single. Day.
I love using this on top of a light coverage base (specifically on top of The Uniform) to feel a little more polished, or on it’s own with a glowy primer for a sheer, radiant look.
One of my favourite elements, though, is that I can easily reapply later in the day for a touch up and it looks equally as perfect as it did when first applied.
Chef’s kiss, all round!

Bronze Balm
$48 at MERIT
The sheer bronzer from MERIT is one of the best on the market, and arguably, at a great price. I’d liken it to the Westman Atelier bronzer in terms of quality, but at almost half the price.
It’s a product that is truly a beauty novice’s dream — read: sheer but easy to build up, blendable and creamy — but also a great product for beauty lovers alike.

Flush Balm
$48 at MERIT
The MERIT Flush Balm might have been one of the first products I noticed from the brand, and truthfully? I understand why.
The hype around this product is no joke, but the slightly sheer and ultra-creamy formula makes it a cult-favourite for a reason.
Available in 13 shades — broken down into colour stories The Pops, The Neutrals, The Classic Pinks — all of them have a glowy finish and work beautifully in conjunction with the other MERIT products.

Solo Shadow
$38 at MERIT
There’s no denying it: I love a cream eyeshadow. So honestly, it’s no surprise I loved this product.
Solo Shadow is a soft matte, buildable wash of colour for the eyes, that looks equally as beautiful on its own as it does as a base for your powder products. I personally find that this product creases on me, however that is not a fault of the product, but rather something I experience with every eyeshadow I use (thanks, oily eyelids).

Clean Lash
$42 at MERIT
If you like a tubing mascara, say hello to your new best friend. The Clean Lash lengthening mascara is a great formula that applies easily and can be built up to give you voluminous, fluffy lashes.
It doesn’t smudge, has no fallout throughout the day, and comes off easily at the end of the day with just some warm water.
Literally, what more could you want?
MERIT lip products

Shade Slick
$38 at MERIT
One of the newer product offerings from MERIT is the Shade Slick tinted lip oil. It offers a lightweight wash of colour to the lips, without being too intense.
It’s hydrating, high-shine, and offered in 12 gorgeous shades. This currently sits on my desk and I use it multiple times throughout the day to touch up and refresh my lip colour.
Other MERIT products
Of course, there are a number of other MERIT products that are worth your time (and money). Here’s the rest of the range, in case you’re interested in shopping for some new beauty.
And while I haven’t tried the below products, I trust that they’re just as good as the rest of the range.
