It’s not often that a fashion brand manages to bridge a generational gap, but Brixton has done exactly that in our office.
As editors separated by 17 years, Sophie’s wardrobe and mine don’t always overlap.
While I tend to opt for timeless pieces that can survive the school run, meetings and weekend outings, Sophie always looks effortlessly on trend with her savvy way of mixing new pieces with op shop finds.
Yet, somehow, we both ended up owning the same jumper.
The piece in question? Brixton’s Ranching Club Crew Sweater – a relaxed-fit sweatshirt that perfectly captures the brand’s uncomplicated approach to dressing. Comfortable, versatile and extremely wearable, it’s become a staple for both of us despite our very different ages and lifestyles.
And it turns out we’re not alone.

Why we are loving Brixton’s new range
As we move into the cooler months, Brixton’s Winter/Spring ’26 collection feels perfectly timed. Designed for those in-between days when the weather can’t quite make up its mind, the range is built around versatile layering pieces that work just as well for a coastal getaway as they do for everyday life.
The collection embraces the idea of effortless outfitting, with elevated essentials that can be mixed, matched and layered without overthinking it. For men, there’s a renewed focus on the brand’s popular Bowery flannel program, heavyweight outerwear and an updated range of snapbacks. Meanwhile, the women’s collection leans into thoughtful layering and coordinated separates designed to work together seamlessly.
What makes Brixton stand out is its ability to balance practicality with style. The pieces feel current without being trend-driven, which means they appeal to a surprisingly wide range of ages.

Quality, comfort and timeless style
They’re also refreshingly affordable compared to many fashion brands occupying a similar space. Most pieces sit comfortably in that sweet spot between quality and price, making it easier to invest in well-made staples you’ll wear for years rather than seasons.
For Soph, the Ranching Club Crew is the perfect oversized throw-on that keeps her chic but cosy in our often freezing office.
For me, it’s become the kind of wardrobe workhorse (pun intended!) that makes me feel put together, even when I have just thrown it on with leggings ahead of racing to pick my son up from daycare.
At under $100, it’s also the sort of purchase that feels justified after just a handful of wears — although we’re both well past counting at this point.
If our office is anything to go by, Brixton’s appeal isn’t limited by age. Whether you’re 25 or 42, the formula is the same: well-made, effortless pieces that you’ll reach for again and again.
