With the show airing months after filming, the stars have been vocal about the show’s editing drama that didn’t air and grudges they may or may not be holding as it plays out.
Discussing the recently leaked group chat which saw housemates turn on Angela Clancy for harsh comments she made in an interview, Xavier suggests some of his fellow Big Brother stars are trying to make the most of their newfound notoriety.
“I think some of the bigger personalities really want to jazz it up and get their 15 minutes of fame out of it. I think they’re trying to pull on those sorts of strings,” he says.
Housemates are reportedly unhappy with Angela.
Xavier, however, is unfazed by the fame and happy to return to normal life.
“If they want 15 minutes of fame, they can have mine.
Being on reality TV you get the comments and the wave of things coming and going but I’m happy to close the book on it and hopefully start a new chapter.”
Xavier became close to Casey, Mat and Daniel in the house.
The 23-year-old paramedic believes the drama being drummed up outside of the show comes down to the limited time the show has spent on the feel-good moments and friendships forged in the house.
“It's funny because you've got connections, but everybody's going to dissect every single friendship in the house.
"Only when you live it, be in there and laugh, cry and all the rest do you form those close bonds and unfortunately you don’t get to see most of those moments.
"It’s sad that you get dissected on your friendships," he said.
