Nine couples are in search of ever-lasting love (or something along those lines) and this silver fox might just be our favourite off the mark.

Who is Steve?

One of the grooms who’s declared his commitment to a stranger is 50-year-old Steve Powell, the oldest groom of this season.

Hailing from Victoria, Steve is a Creative Director who found success flipping pubs and hospitality venues.

Channel Nine described Steve as a “silver fox” who has been married before, has four daughters, and ready to find love again.

Who is Steve’s ideal match?

The Victorian resident is eager to meet a woman who is confident, sociable and someone who can “enjoy simple luxuries”.

As a girl-dad, Steve understands women and how to relate to them. He hopes he can find his forever person on the show.

Steve had the tick of approval from Rebecca’s son Austin on their wedding day.

“He’s charming, he’s nice, they seem to have clicked and had a great time together,” he said, adding that he feels quite “hopeful” of the relationship.

What are Steve’s flaws?

When Steve met his bride, we didn’t think there were any red flags.

He does, however, admit that he was selfish in his past romantic relationships and put his wants and needs above his partners.

However not long after the wedding, Steve did brutally open up to the boys about Rebecca’s red flags including that she “needs to be talking all the time” and that she’s “not her usual type”.

“Her emotions are very high and very low, that worries me because you’re not sure of the person you’re waking up to.”
