Do I even need to give you a summary of the plot? Probably not, but here’s a very basic rundown for those who are yet to see the Academy Award-winning flick. Famous country singer Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) meets and falls in love with Ally (Lady Gaga), a talented musician who’s about to give up her dream of finding fame. Desperate to help her make it big, Jackson— a recovering alcoholic who is battling his own demons— tries to coax Ally into the spotlight, however, does so at the detriment of his own health.
Now that’s over, let’s talk about Cooper and Gaga’s very weird relationship.
Earlier this year, fans went into a frenzy over Cooper and Gaga’s insane chemistry during their emotional performance of “Shallow” at the Oscars.
Although the “Bad Romance” singer has since refuted claims she’s been intimate with her co-star— admitting they were simply “in character” while performing the hit track— a source close to Cooper, 44, said he’s turning to Gaga, 33, for relationship advice which, apparently, is helping The Hangover star “soothe his aching heart”.
“He goes to Gaga for advice over everything, which is pretty insensitive at a time like this but Bradley can’t help himself,” the insider told the outlet.
The source added: “He’s just totally spellbound by her and thinks she’s the wisest, coolest and most worldly person on the planet. Gaga’s in a tough spot because she doesn’t want to rub Irina’s nose in it. But still, she does adore Bradley so she’s happy to take his calls.”
The intel comes after news broke that Cooper and his girlfriend of four years Irina Shayk split.
