Australian icon John Farnham is officially a grandfather!
The You’re the Voice singer’s son James Farnham and his partner Dr Tessa Effendi recently welcomed a baby boy.
James and Tessa named their bundle of joy Jett John Farnham and wrote in a statement released on Instagram:
“We thought we were excited to meet him – but turns out he was even more excited to meet us, arriving a little ahead of schedule.
“Jett is our whole world in one tiny, noisy, perfect package. We’re smitten, we’re sleep deprived, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
In the same statement, John and his wife, Jill Farnham, said:
“We are over the moon about the arrival of this perfectly beautiful little boy.
“He’s already filled our hearts with so much love and we’re so proud and happy for James and Tessa. Welcome to the world, Jett!”
Jett’s arrival marks John’s first time being a grandfather, so our heartfelt congratulations go to him and the whole Farnham family.
It’s the happy news they needed after John was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2022 and subsequently had to undergo jaw reconstruction surgery – which lasted a whopping 12 hours and required 26 doctors – and radiation therapy.
