Ali Oetjen has taken to Instagram in floods of tears after “online bullies” attacked her for photoshopping her selfies.
The 32-year-old Bachelorette star posted a picture of her tear-streaked face as well as a confession that she had indeed photoshopped her pictures.
The reality star revealed she had been at the gym since 5am as she had endured a sleepless night following the online abuse.
‘I couldn’t sleep because online bullies comments hurt AND I disliked how so many comments on my recent post were right,’ she said.
Ali received dozens of critical comments on Tuesday after uploading two selfies to social media that had been enhanced with photo-editing tools.
‘The first photo doesn’t even look like you Ali, it’s so Photoshopped. I prefer the natural you,’ said one fan.
Continuing her explanation, Ali said: This is me at this VERY moment, no make up, no filters or edits and I’m scared sh*tless to upload it, but want too so I prove my point that real is better, to share with you that I’m nowhere near perfect & that we all have similar feelings.’
