Jewellery designer Cassandra Mamone’s pursuit of Ciarran Stott despite being friends with his ex Renne Barrett dominated airtime in last night’s Bachelor in Paradise premiere.

And while many viewers have called out the 32-year-old for seemingly breaking “girl code” by attempting to hook up with the cheeky Brit, it appears there may be more to this story.
Taking to her Instagram Story after the episode, Cass shared a video from a fan which pointed out the strange inflections in the reality star’s voice in some scenes.
“That is not normal speaking. The editors really did a bad job,” the fan said in the footage, before adding, “I’ve just come across another blatant edit. Oh, my God this is Cass this time.”
The fan then went on to play back audio of when Cass was supposedly talking about wanting to grill Ciarran at the dinner party about his romance with Renee.
“I’ve got a question for one of the boys. I want to know the truth about his past relationship. It should be interesting,” Cass said, with her speech noticeably stilted.
The Instagram user then warned: “Once you start noticing it you can’t stop. If you can’t see them speaking, it’s probably edited.
“Just be aware of this stuff before you form opinions on someone. What you see/hear is not always the full story.”
Tellingly, Cass simply captioned the clip: “Actual love smart people.”
Bachelor in Paradise returned with a bang last night, and in tense scenes Ciarran, who found fame on Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette, was forced to answer tough questions about his past relationship with Renee, from Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor.
Ciarran admitted that he was to blame for their relationship ending.
“I f**ked up. Went away for a wedding, ended up cheating on her,” he revealed.
“I told her. Said what it was. Obviously knew it was a mistake. Shouldn’t have done it.”
Meanwhile, Renee was less than impressed watching her ex beau flirt up a storm with Cass on the first episode and blasted her on social media, calling her a “b**ch” for “breaking girl code”.
Bachelor in Paradise continues Thursday 7.30pm on Channel Ten
