Britney Spears is driving Aussie fans crazy after teasing the possibility of a tour Down Under.
The Princess of Pop has not toured Australia since her 2009 tour The Circus came to town.
But this could soon change according to Britney who is gearing up to tour “very soon.”
Is Britney Spears going on tour?

Although no tour has been confirmed as of yet, the pop icon took to Instagram on Saturday to hint that one is in the works.
Sharing a picture of herself on stage sitting at a piano, the 44-year-old revealed that she hoped to gift it to her son Jayden, 19… and maybe even perform with him at shows around the world.
“Sending this piano to my son this year!!!” she wrote in the post which has amassed nearly 700,000 likes.
“Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…”
Britney also went on to share the one place she will never perform again, as well as the countries she is considering for a potential tour.
“I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon.”
When was Britney Spears last Australian tour?

Britney Spears arrived in Sydney Airport on Wednesday, 4 November, 2009, ahead of her Australian tour which was beginning in Perth that Friday.
The then 27-year-old shared a message to fans on Twitter at the same, saying: “Longest flight ever but we had a great time. So excited to be here.”
The singer managed to avoid the frenzy of fans waiting for her at the airport and instead board a private jet straight to Perth.
Spears’ worldwide Circus tour which began in New Orleans in March 2009, consisted of a cast of 44 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats.
The singer performed 15 concerts whilst Down Under- starting in Perth on Friday, followed by Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before finishing in Adelaide on November 29.
The four shows at Acer Arena in Sydney sold 66,247 tickets, making her the highest-selling act ever in the arena.
The tour was ranked at number seven on Billboard’s Top 25 Tours of 2009, with a previously reported gross of $140 million AUD ($94 million USD).
What would a 2026 Britney Spears tour look like?

Leaving behind the blockbuster arena shows of the past, Britney sees a much simpler version in the future.
“I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son,” she explained in her post.
“He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!”
So no yellow python then?
What are fans saying about the potential tour?
Although people are over the moon at the thought of seeing Britney performing on stage again, many are sceptical as a result of her previous resistance toward touring.
One user took to X to share their feelings, saying: “Whatever she decides – performing or not performing, in certain countries or not at all – the most important thing is that it’s her choice. She’s spent enough of her life being told what to do.
Britney Spears’ last tour was the Piece of Me Tour in October 2018 which concluded in the Austin, Texas, United States.
The singer then took a hiatus from performing to focus on her conservatorship case which she was officially freed from on November 12, 2021.
