But Brittany Hockley never stopped believing in “The One”, and has finally found her perfect match in professional tennis player Jordan Thompson, 27.

“I found love, finally! It’s about time,” the 34-year-old laughs as she tells WHO of her new beau. “It makes all the heartbreak and everything I have been through worth it.”

How did you and Jordan meet?

Jordan approached me online through [celebrity dating app] Raya and asked me on a date. He didn’t know my dating history, which was quite refreshing. I love tennis so agreed, but only if we could play a match. He said, “You don’t really want to do that.” So we ended up going out for a lovely dinner instead.

And it obviously went well?

Yes, indeed! We got on like a house on fire. Because of COVID, the booking was only for two hours. But we had so much to talk about that we just stayed, and in the end they kicked us out of the restaurant so it could close. We met up again the next day and have been pretty much inseparable ever since.

What made you fall for Jordan?

Due to our age gap, I didn’t go in with any expectations that this would get serious – which I think is a good thing. But Jordan is really different from what people think he is. He is very kind and gentle, thoughtful and loving. We laugh nonstop when we’re together.

And what do you think the future holds for the two of you?

We are just trying to soak up every minute we can together before Jordan heads overseas for the tennis season. Fingers crossed that the international travel restrictions change soon, so I can spend some of the time with him. But the future looks bright and we are very happy.

Finding love isn’t your only exciting news. You’ve also filmed your first feature-length movie.

Yes! It’s a romantic comedy called Malibu Crush. And my love life has always been laughable, so I was definitely prepared for the role. Acting is a real passion of mine, so it was great to get the experience. It is something I am hoping to do a lot more in the future.

What’s coming up next for you?

Laura [Byrne] and I are amazed at the success of our podcast Life Uncut, and we would love to do some more work in radio and live shows. We are also throwing a few ideas around to work on a book.

The podcast has been great for showcasing our personalities and what we are about, and we’ve been blown away by the fact so many people want to listen to what we’ve got to say. I’ll always have half a dozen things on the go. I know I have big dreams, but I’d rather try and fail than never try at all.
