He’s the hunky star of the Magic Mike franchise and she’s the daughter of rock royalty and the woman who sizzled as Catwoman in The Batman.
Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz are one of Hollywood’s hottest couples, and if Zoe’s dad Lenny Kravitz is to be trusted, wedding bells are set to ring out at some stage this year for the pair.
The actors first met in 2021 on the set of Zoe Kravitz’s directorial debut Blink Twice (in cinemas August 23); by October 2023, they were engaged and very much in love.
The high-profile couple have tried to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, but sometimes they just can’t help gushing about each other in interviews!
Here’s what we know about the genetically blessed couple’s relationship so far.
How did Channing Tatum meet Zoe Kravitz?
The couple fell in love on the set of Kravitz’s feature directing debut Blink Twice, about a tech billionaire called Slater King (played by Tatum), who meets cocktail waitress Frida (Naomie Ackie) and whisks her off to his private island.
As strange things start to happen on the island, Frida begins to question her own reality – and wonders if she’ll ever make it off the island alive.
Kravitz said she had automatically had Tatum in mind when thinking about who would play the role of King.
“(He was the one) I thought of when I wrote this character,” Kravitz told Deadline in June 2021.
“I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense that he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.”
A source told Us Weekly that things “turned romantic fast” after “working together so closely”.
The pair were first spotted on a “date” in New York City in August 2021, with Kravitz holding on to Tatum as they rode on his BMX bike.
Days later they were papped picking up groceries and sipping on iced coffees.
Are Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz still together?
Very much so! The pair are still going strong after three years and recently got engaged,
Initially, the relationship was kept under wraps. When asked about her romantic life by Elle in 2022, Kravitz said she was “happy”, but only wanted to talk about Tatum’s acting talent, rather than their love life.
That same year, Tatum told Entertainment Tonight he was “in awe” of Kravitz’s directing skills.
“She’s doing better than I did on our first movie … I mean, jeez, we barely survived and she’s just killing it,” he gushed.
He added that Kravitz had understood who he was straight away.
“She saw me,” he said. “She’s got a weird gift for that. She sees right through a lot of people’s stuff and really, just who they are to her is really simple. She’s one of the more intentional people I’ve ever met in my life.”
Later that year, Kravitz was a little more effusive about her personal life with Tatum.
“He’s just a wonderful human,” she told GQ in November 2022. “He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”
She also explained why they had wanted to keep their relationship secret at first.
“You want to keep it sacred and private as long as you can,” she said. “So that you don’t have to even think about what the world thinks about it.”
When did Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz get engaged?
The pair got engaged in October 2023, two years after they first started dating.
When the couple were spotted leaving a Halloween party, eagle-eyed observers noted that Kravitz was wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring. Days later, PEOPLE officially broke the news that the couple were getting married.
And it seems Tatum has the seal of approval from Zoe’s dad, rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Two months after the engagement was announced, he gushed about the pair in an interview with BBC2.
“He’s a really great guy,” Lenny Kravitz said. “He was raised well. So, you know, he’s got manners. He’s charming. He’s a soulful human being. And so, he’s become part of the family quite quickly. He fits and they’re in love.”
He even let slip that the pair planned to wed at some point in 2024 – but so far a date hasn’t been revealed, publicly at least.

Who was Zoe Kravitz married to?
Zoe Kravitz began a relationship with actor Karl Glusman in 2016. The couple became engaged on February 18 and were married at Lenny Kravitz’s house in Paris on June 29, 2019. But by December 2020, Kravitz had filed for a divorce, which was finalised in August 2021.
Speaking to Elle in 2022, she said the divorce from Glusman was something of an “it’s not you, it’s me” situation.
“Karl’s an incredible human being,” she said. “It really is less about him and more about me learning how to ask myself questions about who I am, and still learning who I am, and that being okay. That’s the journey I’m on right now.”

Channing Tatum was previously married to his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan.
The pair married in Malibu in 2009 and share a daughter Everly, born in 2013. In 2019 their duo finalised their divorce.
“We fought (getting divorced) for a really long time, even though we both sort of knew that we had grown apart,” Tautm told Vanity Fair in 2023.
“In the beginning, it was super-scary and terrifying. Your life just turns on its axis. This whole plan that you had literally just turns into sand and goes through your fingers, and you’re just like, ‘Oh s***, what now?'”
Tatum even revealed that after his split from Dewan, he wasn’t sure if he’d ever marry again.
But he’s clearly changed his mind on the subject after having met Kravitz.
