Scandal-plagued ex royal, Sarah, Duchess of York, is back in the headlines again, following claims her latest business venture is in trouble.
While things have been on the up for the flame-haired tabloid stalwart recently – with the wedding of daughter Princess Eugenie, and her re-admission to many royal family events – some unhappy news has come along to spoil it.
According to the UK newspaper The Mail on Sunday, her latest money-grabbing exercise is in trouble, with claims entertainment company Gate Ventures ‘appears to be in serious trouble and last year posted a £9.8 million ($A18.4 million) loss’.
Fergie is is executive director of the company.
The paper claims that the company’s backers are ‘scrambling for funds to prevent it from going into voluntary liquidation.’

Fergie, who has a long history of financial problems and scandals, joined the company in 2017 – lending her name to its ventures in exchange for a fat payout.
‘I am amazed that the Duchess of York has got involved in this,’ a source told The Mail on Sunday.
‘They’re clearly using her Royal name to gain credibility.’
Fergie, who got herself out from under a mountain of debt racked up during her free-spending royal years, has put her name on everything from a ‘Fusion Xcelerator’ food blender, to a weight loss campaign, and a ‘lifestyle and wellness’ firm, which famously went bust.
The Duchess reportedly declined the opportunity to comment when approached by the British newspaper.
