Viewers were left utterly shocked by Married At First Sight bride Ines’ now infamous ‘boat breakdown’ on her honeymoon.
And now, the fiery reality star has opened up about what exactly led her to launch a tirade of abuse at husband Bronson.
Speaking to Talking Married’s host Jayne Azzopardi, the 28-year-old revealed the parasailing adventure on Wednesday’s show had triggered her anxiety due to a past experience.
“I don’t think Bronson was aware that I had a really bad experience in Mexico when I went parasailing, we were dropped in the middle of the ocean,” Ines revealed.
“So, me entering that experience on the boat with Bronson, I was in a state of panic. That was quite hard for me to watch as well, just seeing how distressed I was,” she added.
And Bronson’s attempts to lighten the situation by joking about crocodiles and death tolls only made things worse for the Queensland legal assistant.
“We only see things from our level of perception. He may have just thought I was being rude or obnoxious, but it was actually a cry for help.”
However, Ines realises she took things too far with her meltdown.
“The way I acted towards him wasn’t fair at all,” she told Jayne. “No one deserves to be spoken to like that.”
