The former Miss Universe Australia turned model and influencer, who is married to AFL star Buddy Franklin, is said to be in the very early stages of her pregnancy.

A friend of the couple’s revealed the news this week, although the A-list pair are yet to officially confirm their family update themselves.

“It is exciting news but early days,” the friend told The Daily Telegraph.

Keeping her pregnancy a secret would have been quite the battle for Jesinta, 29, who is very active on Instagram, regularly posting photos and videos of herself to her 382,000 Instagram followers.

She has also recently been attending a slew of virtual and in-person media events to promote her various ambassador roles, but has employed a few sneaky tricks to ensure her presumably growing baby bump was far from visible.

Along with posting content of herself from the chest up, Jesinta has also used cleverly-placed items across her stomach, and has chosen to wear forgiving, flowy clothing options when posting full-body shots recently.

While some fans might be surprised by the speed at which Jesinta has fallen pregnant a second time, it could be due to the star’s previous fertility battles.

The Sydney local, who is based in Rose Bay in the city’s affluent eastern suburbs, has been refreshingly open about her and Buddy’s struggle to fall pregnant.

When Jesinta announced her first pregnancy in August 2019, she revealed the couple had tried for years to have a baby, before becoming successful.

“The journey to get here hasn’t been easy and this little life is the greatest gift and we feel truly blessed and grateful that we will have a little angel of our own,” she said in a statement at the time.

“We have both dreamt of this for a long time and whilst the last 2.5 years have been physically and emotionally challenging, there’s nothing we would change as it’s brought us to this beautiful moment.”

Jesinta said she chose to go public with her fertility battles because she hopes her honesty will help other women and couples experiencing similar issues feel less alone.

“Because I had struggled to fall pregnant and there had been losses along the way, as a woman who had been through that I felt like I was doing so many couples a disservice to come out and say, ‘Surprise, we are pregnant,’ because I know that would make me feel even worse about our pregnancy journey,” she told the Herald Sun last year, with her statement hinting at several miscarriages.

“I wanted other women to find comfort in the fact that this was not a surprise. It really was an effort and took us a long time.”
