Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel met one fateful evening in 2014, when they were paired together at a Louis Vuitton event in New York.
Delphine Arnault, the Executive Vice President for the fashion brand at the time, was quoted as saying “she is very beautiful; I’m sure he will have a good time” after pairing Miranda and Evan together.
In November 2023, on the anniversary of their first meeting, Miranda revealed that it was actually immortalised in photo form.
The image shows Evan shaking hands with Miranda, and it’s made even more fabulous by the presence of director Sofia Coppola standing in the background, eyeing off their handshake.
“On this day in 2014, fate (and Louis Vuitton) brought Evan and I together at a dinner at the MOMA in NYC. The magical moment we met was captured,” she wrote in the caption on Instagram.
The rest, as they say, is history. Well… the brief synopsis is that they became good friends in 2014 after meeting at the Louis Vuitton event, started dating in 2015, and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2017. Since then, they’ve welcomed sons Hart, Myles and Pierre to their family, along with Miranda’s son Flynn.
Outside of a few key announcements and interview snippets, the couple have kept their relationship largely out of the private eye. But they still manage to make our hearts swoon with the occasional red carpet-appearance!
Miranda and Evan were the picture of loved-up perfection as they attended the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars After Party together. She wore an aquamarine Elie Saab haute couture gown, while he donned a dapper black tuxe for the occasion.
The supermodel shared a sweet picture of the couple to celebrate a big relationship milestone in November 2022.
“Mom & Dad” she captioned the picture, before sharing the details of the special date.
“Can’t believe it’s 8yrs tomorrow since we first met,” Miranda shared. “Feels like I’ve known you my whole life and yet every day is more magical than the next.”
In October 2022, Miranda also shared the couple’s matching Halloween costumes when they posed as Batman and Catwoman.
The costumes were instantly a hit with fans and celebrities rushing to the comments to praise the look.
“Well, MEOW!!!!” commented Michelle Pfeiffer.
“Your legs are sooooo long omg” replied Olivia Munn, as Paris Hilton added, “That’s hot.”
The model and beauty entrepreneur is a mum of four boys – Flynn Bloom whom she shares with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, Hart, Myles and Pierre, the latter three she shares with current husband, Evan Spiegel.
“The kids are my number one love, it’s just the best thing in the world, being a mum,” she confessed in an Instagram Live.
Miranda became a mum for the first time in 2011, but even when she and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor separated in 2013, she made Flynn the ultimate priority.
“When Orlando and I first separated our priority was always Flynn and making sure that, you know, Flynn was happy and his needs were always at the forefront, and so we were very amicable from the beginning,” Miranda told Nova FM’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny in October 2020.
Now that Orlando is engaged to singer Katy Perry and they have a daughter of their own, Daisy Dove, and Miranda has remarried, their blended family is working wonders.
“I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy, because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing,” the model and KORA Organics founder told Drew Barrymore on her chat show in November 2020.
“When it comes to special occasions, when we have to be together, we work it out so we have compromises [about] what is the best for our whole family. We really do always think of what is the best thing for Flynn, and I just think that’s the most important thing.”
