Her first child is due to arrive in just a matter of weeks, but that hasn’t stopped Kensington Palace insiders from attacking mother-to-be Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Gone are the days when Megs was given the moniker Markle Sparkle. Since marrying Prince Harry back in May, she’s been called everything from Duchess Difficult to Princess Pushy, and even Duchess Diva.
And now, according to Tatler, Palace staff have taken to calling Harry’s wife “Me-gain,” thanks to her ambitious nature.
Naturally, her protective husband isn’t happy. “Harry’s a proud man,” an insider told the publication. “And a sensitive man. He’d be very upset at the idea of people criticising his wife. He’s utterly besotted.”
The latest jab at Meghan comes after the completion of renovations at her and Harry’s new home, Frogmore Cottage, had been delayed because they weren’t to her liking.
There’s also the fact that a number of her staff have quit in recent months.
A royal insider previously told The Sun: “Meghan can be difficult. She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment. However, there’s a different degree of respect in the royal household and Kate has always been very careful about how she has acted around staff.”
