By March, the pair had been photographed numerous times and a source told Entertainment Tonight: “Shawn and Sabrina are seeing each other. They have been hanging out a lot and trying to keep things low-key. They were at a birthday party together a couple of weeks ago and were cute together. Shawn is happy.”
But things fizzled out and by April 2023 Shawn was spotted rekindling his romance with ex-Camila. End of story, right? Nope! Now, over a year later fans are convinced Sabrina’s new music hints towards a more serious relationship between the pair.
Her song ‘Dumb & Poetic’ contains these lyrics:

Convinced? Look, we know it’s a bit of a stretch…but we will be keeping our eyes out for any other hints.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello dated for two years before splitting in November 2021. Both singers announced their split on Instagram stories, sharing a statement.
“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” they wrote in the joint statement. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”
However, the pair sparked reconciliation rumours when they were spotted kissing at Coachella in 2023. Whilst the pair didn’t publically comment on the photos, they were photographed again the following month looking cosy while waiting in line for a comedy show at Hollywood Improv on Melrose Avenue.
Although fans have jumped to the conclusion that Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are dating again, a source previously explained to Entertainment Tonight that the pair were just exploring the possibility of dating again, nearly two years after splitting.
“Shawn and Camila aren’t officially back together, but they are enjoying each other’s company and seeing where things go,” the source said in early 2023. “When they met up and kissed at Coachella, they were having fun and being in the moment together. They are both attracted to each other and care about one another a lot. They are having fun.”
By June 2023, the pair had reportedly ended their rekindled romance, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight, “Shawn and Camila broke up and are no longer seeing each other. They gave things a try, but ultimately the timing isn’t right for either of them. They’re both staying busy and doing their own things.”
In March 2023, Camilla revealed why she and Shawn got back together during her Call Her Daddy interview.

Speaking on their dynamic post breakup, Shawn shared, “I’ll be the first to text her. She’ll be the first to text me, so as long as we’re good, all the noise is just noise… We deeply respect each other.”
Looking back on their romance, the singer added, “I think Camila and I have just done the best job at preserving our private little fire of love for each other, because no matter how strong mentally you are, when there are millions of people commenting on [the relationship], it’s so hard not be affected by it.”

Charlie, who starred on the 14th season of Big Brother and Shawn were spotted again the following day grabbing smoothies together in Los Angeles. The pair who are 25 and 37 respectively never confirmed nor denied the status of their relationship.
The latest rumours came just months after Shawn was also linked to his 51-year-old chiropractor, Jocelyne Miranda.
