Abbie was previously in an open relationship with former The Bachelorette contestant Konrad Bien-Stephen.

I was out for lunch with a friend of mine in Byron [and] I wanted to take her out for cocktails because she’s been helping me out with a place to stay there. We hit it off straight away. She’s just an amazing girl.”

The couple went public with their relationship in November 2021, with Abbie and Konrad sharing more information about their open relationship on an episode of Chatfield’s It’s A Lot podcast.

“Mummy and daddy aren’t breaking up. We’re just having a different structure to our relationship. So we’re open. We’re in an open relationship, which we love,” Chatfield said.

“I’ve never been in an open relationship before, but it’s something I want to explore and I want to navigate and I want to learn,” added Bien-Stephens.

Speaking on her attitude towards relationships, Chatfield told Stellar, “I’ve never been upset or threatened by someone [I’m in a relationship with] sleeping with someone else… I just never really valued monogamy that much.”

In September 2022, Chatfield confirmed that she and Bien-Stephen had parted ways.

“I guess I wanted to confirm that yeah, Konrad and I have broken up. We’ve been broken up for a couple of months now… It was not because we were in an open relationship. Nothing bad happened,” she shared in a video to Instagram.

“I probably won’t ever share my relationship publicly again to be honest because of this whole situation and the way the media have f***ing reported on it… Like my relationship is a game… it’s quite f***ed,” she added.
