Australia’s favourite actor, Chris Hemsworth, has shared his birthday wishes for wife Elsa Pataky with a bit of a failed cake.
After Elsa celebrated her birthday earlier this week at a dreamy beach location, she was finally reunited with her husband for a family celebration.
Chris presented her with a cake with the words “Feliz Navidid Elsa”, which is the Spanish term for Merry Christmas, with an extra added typo.
“For those of you who speak Spanish you’ll notice that my Spanish has improved to a level of perfection here with a beautiful birthday message for @elsapataky,” Chris captioned a photo of himself and his wife, smiling with the cake.
Fans in the comments thought the gaffe was hilarious.
“It obviously shows all the hard work 💪😂😅,” a friend of the couple wrote.
“Are you sure about your spanish? 😂😂” asked another.
“Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday 😂,” shared a third.
Elsa turned 46 on Monday, and was celebrated by Chris then as well, with a display of public affection
Again taking to Instagram, Chris posted a black and white photo of himself and Elsa, where he was decked out in his famous Thor costume, and seated on his wife’s lap.
“Happy birthday to this gorgeous lady!” he wrote.
“Thanks for always being my rock to sit on but way comfier. Love you @elsapataky,” he shared, tagging her.
The Spanish actress spent the day at a warm holiday spot, posting a series of snaps with friends and family.
“Having such a great time with these LEGENDS” she wrote alongside photos of herself leaping into a pool, drinking cocktails and swimming in the turquoise water.
The mum of three has been married to her Thor star husband for over a decade now.
The couple tied the knot in 2010 after less than 12 months of dating, saying that getting married quickly “just felt right”.
“We were on holiday and we said, ‘why don’t we get married too?’ … There probably should have been some planning but it all worked out,” Chris told Good Morning Britain in 2016.
“Honestly, we had both our families on holiday at the same time, just randomly, and we said this is a good opportunity with everyone together, so we just did it.”
Since then, the pair have had three children together.
Their daughter, India, was born in May 2012, and twin boys, Tristan and Sasha, in March 2014.
While they travel all over the world to shoot films, the family of five are based in the northern NSW town of Byron Bay for most of the year.
In 2019, Chris decided to take on less projects in order to spend more time at home with his young family.

“I just want to be at home now with my kids,” he told the Daily Telegraph.
“They are at a very important age. They are still young and they are aware when I leave more than before.”
Chris very recently starred in the fourth Thor film, Thor: Love and Thunder, which he shot in Australia during 2021.
