It’s been a dramatic day in the world of Brand Beckham, to say the least.
With family tensions spilling onto social media and sparking plenty of raised eyebrows, it has been wild.
After Brooklyn Beckham publicly vented about his parents, David Beckham appeared on CNBC’s Squawk Box– and while he didn’t address the claims head-on, his timing spoke volumes.
What did Brooklyn say?
Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest Beckham son, has accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz.
The aspiring chef left no stone unturned in his six-slide statement and mentioned the wedding dress fiasco, the “inappropriate” first dance with his mum, and so much more.
Brooklyn’s statement included: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.
“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into,” he shared.
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own façade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”

What did David say?
Just hours after Brooklyn, 26, accused his famous mum and dad of being controlling and declared he was “standing up for himself for the first time,” David was talking all about kids, mistakes, and social media.
The former football icon, attending the interview in his role as a UNICEF ambassador, reflected on the ups and downs of online platforms.
“I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media. For the good and for the bad,” he said.
“The bad we’ve talked about with what kids can access these days, it can be dangerous. But what I have found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.”

He then highlighted how social media has helped amplify his charity work: “I’ve been able to use my platform and my following for UNICEF.”
“It has been the biggest tools to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children.” And yes, those lessons start at home, I have tried to do the same, I’ve tried to do the same with my children, to educate them,” he explained.
Wrapping up, David delivered what many saw as a subtle nod to the ongoing family fallout.
“They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well,” he said.
For now, David and Victoria are keeping quiet on Brooklyn’s accusations- though judging by today’s headlines, the Beckham family chat group is probably very busy.
