The farmer drama never ends.

Just when we thought Farmer Alex and Eddy’s tense reunion couldn’t get any messier, another Farmer Wants A Wife contestant has entered the chat.

The former couple may once have been the pick of each other’s crop (yes, pun intended), but their relationship quickly withered once the cameras stopped rolling.

During the reunion, Alex and Eddy disagreed over exactly how much time they had spent together before the lawyer called it quits.

While Alex claimed their relationship ended after only a few weeks, Eddy maintained that it lasted closer to a month.

Now, Rachel — one of the women who competed for Alex’s heart on the show — has publicly backed Eddy’s version of events and confirmed it to WHO.

How would Rachel know the timeline of Eddy and Alex’s relationship?

Call it messy or call it being a girl’s girl, but Rachel took to the comments of a post shared by the official Farmer Wants A Wife Instagram account to claim Alex and Eddy had been together for a month before their split.

Her comment, which attracted close to 50 likes, read: “[It] was definitely a month, everyone.”

She later explained to WHO how she could possibly know the timeline of Eddy and Alex’s relationship.

“I’m really good friends with Eddy and talk to her daily,” she confessed. “I know what’s going on in her life.”

The disputed timeline became a major source of tension during the reunion, with Alex arguing Eddy had ended their relationship before they were given a genuine chance to make things work in the real world.

Eddy, however, saw things differently.

She said that spending time away from the mushroom farmer only confirmed that they weren’t right for one another.

Eddy broke up with Farmer Alex over the phone

Speaking to WHO, Eddy explained that she had been away for work following filming and was initially only supposed to be gone for two weeks.

Her trip was then extended.

“I was supposed to be only gone for two weeks, and I ended up having to stay for close to four weeks,” she said.

“Once we had that break from each other, I was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore… We shouldn’t be together.’”

In a move she later questioned, Eddy decided to end their relationship over FaceTime.

“I was like, ‘Should I have waited until I got home?’ But I felt it was more unfair to wait and make him think that things were okay when they weren’t,” she explained.

“I felt in that moment that it was the most fair and appropriate thing to do. Just end it.”

Eddy went on to claim that the version of Alex she got to know on camera was worlds apart from the man she spent time with once filming wrapped.

“Once things had stopped filming, I think I got to know the real Alex — not in any sort of negative way, but maybe the less polished version of him,” she said.

“It just became so apparent. We were two completely different people that shouldn’t be together.”

While Alex recognised that Eddy had her reasons for walking away, he still wished she had given their romance more of a fighting chance.

“We didn’t really give it a go,” he said. “She just broke up with me, and again, she had her reasons for doing that, so I don’t hold it against her per se… I wished she’d given it a bit more.”

Whether their post-show romance lasted a few weeks or closer to a month, Alex and Eddy clearly left with very different versions of how it all unfolded.

And now that Rachel has entered the chat, we have a feeling this won’t be the last word on the great Farmer Wants A Wife timeline debate.
