It was ‘intruder alert!’ on this week’s Farmer Wants A Wife as five fresh faces were introduced by the farmer’s family and friends, with Farmer Jason, Alex, Dylan, Jarrad and Zac all given the option to bring them back to their property.
In a shock twist, Farmer Jason was greeted by a familiar face: Kimberley, a steel machine operator who owns two border collies. and was chosen for Jason by his sister, Ashley.
How did Kimberley and Jason already know of each other? They had apparently chatted online years earlier in a Farmer Wants A Wife fan group (naturally!)! However, Kimberley wasn’t ready for love at the time, so their romance soon fizzled.
This little detail made their date feel less like a blind set-up and more like unfinished business.
Jason chose to bring Kimberley back to the farm, which instantly rattled his existing women. Logan and Poppy gave a very frosty reception, with the women barely speaking to Kimberley as she arrived. Logan especially seemed unimpressed by Kimberley, as she stormed off with Jason pulling her aside to say, “I don’t want you guys to hate me.”
Meanwhile, in her confessional, Logan was caught sharing some not-so-nice thoughts about Kimberley’s fashion choices, telling producers, “I wouldn’t wear the hat or the boots.”
Jason is yet to fill in the other women about his past with Kimberely, but what exactly happened between these two? Their history was a bit vague, no? In an exclusive chat with WHO, Kimberely filled in all the blanks.
Kimberley’s secret history with FarmerJason from Farmer Wants A Wife
Despite it being portrayed on FWAW that Kimberley and Jason had some sordid past, the intruder admitted their relationship only ever existed online. “Jason and I first connected through a Farmer Wants A Wife Facebook group a few years ago, from memory around 2022. We chatted occasionally over the years, but it was never a relationship,” Kimberley told WHO.
“We were simply two people who had connected online and stayed in touch from time to time.”
The connection began with Kimberley initiating contact. “I sent him a message after seeing his introduction post in the group, and we got chatting from there,” she said.
Kimberley admitted that she was a big fan of FWAW, which brought her to the group. “We had spoken about FWAW before,” she said. “I don’t remember him saying if he was a fan or not. Me on the other hand, I loved watching it growing up.”
Kimberley wanted to set the record straight that this was only ever an online relationship. “We never met in person before the show. We discussed the possibility of meeting at one stage in Queensland, but it never eventuated as I wasn’t comfortable travelling interstate to meet someone I’d only spoken to online,” she said.
“As time went on, we naturally spoke less, and when Jason later mentioned he was planning a trip to Melbourne, I had already started seeing someone else. It was really just a case of timing and life circumstances not lining up.”
When Kimberley saw that Jason had been cast in FWAW, she thought now was the chance to properly explore their connection. “I was curious to see whether there might be a genuine connection in person. We’d only ever spoken online, so the show provided an opportunity to properly get to know each other face-to-face.”
Kimberley never planned to hide this info from Poppy and Logan. “I always intended to be open, honest and upfront,” she admitted.

Kimberley thought that Jason was her type on paper. “I typically go for a country guy or someone who loves the country lifestyle as much as I do,” she said.
“Initially, it was his looks that caught my attention, but it was his kind and sweet nature that made me want to get to know him better.”
When asked by WHO whether she thought Jason should lose his beard, she said, “I do have a soft spot for the beard, but I’d still be attracted to him if he decided to shave it.”
Regarding three women quitting Farmer Jason’s farm in quick succession at the start of Jason’s season, Kimberley admitted she felt for him. “It was difficult to see because you could tell it had been a challenging experience for everyone involved,” she admitted.
“I would have loved the opportunity to meet some of the women who had already left and hear more about their journeys.”
