From Justin Bieber performing in his underwear to a hilarious mishap from Cher and a dig at Nicki Minaj, the 2026 Grammys didn’t disappoint.
However, not all of our favourite artists walked away as winners, and there were definitely some shocks along the way.
Here are all the snubs from the award show we didn’t see coming (…prepare yourself, there are some big ones).
Sabrina Carpenter
Despite kicking off the awards show with a performance of her hit song Manchild and being nominated for six awards, Sabrina Carpenter didn’t win any Grammys this year.
She was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video, but left empty-handed.

Justin Bieber
Another artist who performed at the show but didn’t win an award was Justin Bieber, with none of his four nominations turning into a win.
But, Bieber still managed to raise eyebrows when he appeared on-stage wearing only boxer shorts and socks during his performance.
Some fans loved it, while others were unimpressed – with some even saying he should have his Grammy nominations pulled for such a low-effort outfit.
Guess those fans had their wish granted after all.

Rosé and Bruno Mars
Rosé and Bruno Mars performed together, and Bruno Mars performed himself again later, but the pair’s mega-hit APT won no awards.
Are you feeling a theme here?
The song was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Chappell Roan
Nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, Chappell Roan won no awards this Grammy Awards.
However, she definitely turned heads in her incredible red carpet outfit, with her dress draping from her nipples. Yes… nipples.

The singer wore a sheer burgundy Mugler dress secure to her body with faux nipple piercings and changed outfit to present the Best New Artist award to Olivia Dean, with Chappell winning it last year.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus’s album Something Beautiful was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album but sadly lost out to Lady Gaga’s MAYHEM.

It was the only award she was nominated for, with the singer notoriously having a bad track record with the Grammys.
However, she did give us one of the most iconic Grammys moments in history with her performance of Flowers in 2024, where she changed the lyrics to the hit song to gleefully announce “I just won my first Grammy!”.
