The 68th Grammy Awards wasn’t without its controversy, like Justin Bieber’s divisive performance in his boxer shorts and host Trevor Noah making a dig at Nicki Minaj for he political stance.

Harry Styles presents the award for Best Album to Bad Bunny

Harry Styles, who won the award for Best Album in 2023, presented the biggest award of the night for Best Album to Bad Bunny for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
Bad Bunny appeared shocked by the win and was speechless for several moments before delivering his acceptance speech in Spanish.
The singer is the first Latin artist to win the top award, and he was the first Spanish-language artist to be nominated in three major categories of the show – Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Bad Bunny also won Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Performance at this year’s Grammys.
Cher’s chaotic Record of the Year moment
Viewers were left stunned as Cher took to the stage to present the Record of the Year award and gave a rousing speech about her career.
She told the crowd, “I’ve been in this industry for 60 years. I just want to tell you: never give up on your dream, no matter what happens. Live it, be it, and if it’s not happening now, it will happen soon.”
The iconic singer received a standing ovation before attempting to leave the stage without giving out the award for Record of the Year.
After the nominees were announced, Cher didn’t realise she had to read the winner’s name, but soon understood it was in the envelope she was holding.
Kendrick Lamar’s song ‘Luther’ featuring SZA took out the award, but Cher accidentally announced Luther Vandross (who died in 2005) as the winner, with Trevor Noah joking that he loves “live television” after the chaotic moment.

Fans have praised the Grammys for their tribute to D’Angelo and Roberta Flack, led by Lauryn Hill. Viewers described the tribute, which featured artists such as John Legend, Leon Thomas, Wyclef Jean, Jon Batiste, and more, as “the best performance of the night”.
“What an incredibly perfect group of artists,” one fan wrote on X. “Truly a new gold standard of tributes. So damn perfect. So beautiful. So much love. Perfect.”
“This tribute has to be one of the best tributes to fallen musical stars I’ve ever seen,” another said.

The singer passed away on July 22nd, 2025 from cardiac arrest.
Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, and daughter, Kelly, were seen in the audience looking overcome with emotion at the sensational tribute.
Billie Eilish wins Song of the Year
Billie Eilish’s song ‘Wildflower’ took out Song of the Year. The singer was left shocked to hear her name called, using the moment to reference the political landscape in the US.
“It’s really hard to know what to say and what to do right now,” she told the crowd, adding, “We need to keep speaking up and keep protesting. Our voices really do matter.”
“No one is illegal on stolen land,” she said, adding, “F**k ICE.”
Billie has previously won the award for her tracks ‘What Was I Made For’ and ‘Bad Guy’.
Lady Gaga fans go wild over ‘Abracadabra’ performance

While fans were left confused over the basket Lady Gaga wore over her head for her performance of ‘Abracadabra’, they were left absolutely stunned by her live vocals.
Many urged the singer to release a rock album, while others noted that it was clear her “microphone was on” for the incredible performance.
Moments later, the singer won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, beating Sabrina Carpenter, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Teddy Swims.
Justin Bieber divides with performance of ‘Yukon’

Justin Bieber left fans divided with a stripped-back performance of ‘Yukon’, which saw him walk out on stage in just his boxers and socks.
While some fans loved the fact that the singer looked “comfortable” and said the performance was “iconic”, others were less than impressed.
“Proof again that men can do the bare minimum performance while women always have to out perform themselves to be considered good,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

Olivia Dean was overcome with emotion as she accepted the award for Best New Artist, her first Grammy award of many, no doubt!
The ‘Man I Need’ singer gave a shoutout to her grandparents in her speech, telling the crowd, “I’m up here as the granddaughter of an immigrant, I’m a product of bravery and I think those people deserve to be celebrated.”

Trevor Noah roasts Nicki Minaj during opening monologue

Trevor Noah didn’t hold back when it came to roasting Nicki Minaj in his opening monologue.
Noah walked around the room and said hello to some of the world’s most famous faces in music, including Justin Bieber, Olivia Dean and Jennifer Hudson. However, when he called out Nicki Minaj, she was no where to be seen, and Noah offered up an explanation.
“Not here, she’s not here,” he said.
“She’s still in the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues.”
He then started to impersonate Donald Trump, saying: “Actually Nicki, I have the biggest ass. I have it. Everybody’s saying it Nicki, I know they say it’s you but it’s me. Look at it. Look at it, baby.”
Minaj said last week she’s “probably the President’s number-one fan” and has been outspoken in her support for him. It is unknown why she is not in attendance.

Sabrina Carpenter took to the stage to perform ‘Manchild’, and fans were left stunned by the performance, with many saying it was “iconic” and “fresh”.
The singer was dressed as a pilot for the performance, and the audience couldn’t resist getting on their feet and dancing along with her.
