It was love at first sight for Ian Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed. The Vampire Diaries star, 37, gushed to Modern Luxury magazine about starting a family with the Twilight actress one day.
“The second we were around each other, and not [dating] other people, we just knew. Oh, I will one day have amazing children with my beautiful wife. Absolutely, definitely,” he told the publication. “I live with someone who strives to find happiness and peace in the smallest things – whether it’s sitting for five minutes under a tree or getting out into the country and spending time on our horses or even just going for a walk around the lake or riding a boat.”
The couple wed in April 2015 and Ian could not be more smitten with Nikki, 28.
“I am so blessed that I did, indeed, find this human being that can deal with me and is also the most caring, compassionate person I’ve ever known,” The actress – like Ian – is a massive animal lover.
Since getting married last year, the two have been passionately working together on various charities, including his Ian Somerhalder foundation. The foundation works to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planter ant it’s creatures.
