Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building is almost over, which begs the question: Will there be a Season 6?

Will there be a season six of Only Murders in the Building?
Only Murders in the Building – commonly called OMITB – has not yet been renewed for a Season 6 but it hasn’t been cancelled either.
We know that cast members Selena Gomez and Steve Martin want the show to continue.
“I really hope that I can just keep evolving Mabel as I get older, because I want to do this for a long time,” Selena told USA Today in September 2025.
“You can just be cancelled. We believe we’re doing another season; we think so. But you have to live season by season. And even if it was canceled tomorrow, we would have to say, ‘We had a great, great run.’ … We loved what we were doing. It was a great way to spend five, six years,” Steve added.
We’re positive that OMITB will be renewed for a sixth season in the next few weeks; the series was only renewed for a fourth season the same day the Season 3 finale aired…
Where can I watch Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building?
If we get a Season 6, it will be released on Disney+ Australia, likely in August or September 2026.
Who is the killer in Only Murders in the Building Season 5?
Beware: SPOILERS lie ahead!
The fifth season of Only Murders in the Building saw our favourite trio investigate the murder of beloved Arconia doorman Lester.
We don’t yet know who murdered Lester (or who the finger belongs to!) – it’ll likely be revealed in the final episode set to be released on October 28, 2025 at 5pm AEDT; watch this space!
So far, Mabel, Charles and Oliver have suspected billionaires Sebastian ‘Bash’ Steed, Camila White, and Jay Pflug, widow Lorraine Coluca, Arconia doorman Randall, mobster wife Sofia Caccimelio, and mobster Nicky Caccimelio, who was seemingly murdered by Lester???
Our top suspect is Mayor Tillman – played by Keegan-Michael Key. But again, watch this space.
Who will be in Season 6?
As Only Murders in the Building hasn’t been renewed just yet, a cast list for Season 6 has not been confirmed.
Although it’s obvious that Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short would all return.
